Special education law for
California families

I've worked with kids most of my life. I started as a summer camp counselor when I was a teenager and taught English abroad after college. So when a special education job came up in law school, I took it, and I've practiced special education law every day since. I love how varied the work is. No two students' needs are the same. I've watched kids go from facing expulsion to college and to careers they're proud of.

I sit with families in IEP meetings, draft due process complaints, and face districts at mediations and settlement negotiations.

What bothers me is that too often only families who can afford a lawyer get that help. That's why I started Mead Solomon Law, which does the same work other special education attorneys do without charging families for it.
